Sophie began working in a gym while studying psychology and quickly realised she loved helping people make positive changes to their health and wellness. People who exercise regularly are in better moods, are kinder to be around and are more productive in work. People also really appreciated guidance and support in the gym: this improved their training and helped avoid niggles in their joints too. She chose to make Personal Training her career and studied for personal training qualifications. Sophie’s experience in psychology really helps her clients, too. Psychology forms a huge in exercise and nutrition.
Sophie says: “the gym is my comfort zone, but it can be nerve racking for many women, so I take a welcoming and supportive approach to personal training. I work with busy, professional women who are trying to make time for themselves around a hectic work life. Running a business alongside family myself, I know it feels as though there aren't enough hours in the day, but when I prioritise exercise and nutrition, I have more energy and I’m happier. I perform better in work – and at home. When we focus on getting strong in the gym our quality of life improves dramatically. We’re reducing our risk of disease and protecting ourselves as we age, plus we’re making life more enjoyable and setting a good example to our families.”

As a busy mum herself she’s very well aware of the struggle: the lack of time, the tiredness, the low mood. As a new mum, making time for YOU isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. Vik says: “I specialise in helping pre- and postnatal women; helping new mums get back into fitness after having their little ones. It's more than just regaining your figure. Being a busy Mum myself, I’m all too aware of how hard it can be juggling everything. I've always had a real passion for fitness, and I love helping people get just as much from the gym as I do. I used to struggle with low self-esteem and lack of confidence, so I know exactly how it feels, to walk into less welcoming gyms: you can be crippled by anxiety and limiting belief. That’s especially true after having a baby.
